Canada Goat's and Glaciers
Great spot overlooking the Athabasca River and the Fryatt Mountain Range to the West. The spot is best at Sunrise as the first light hits the ranges, also a valid spot to catch the Milky Way in April and May.
Photography Tips
Bring a wide-angle lens, to get everything into the frame. Also using your telelens you can get some nice detailed shots of the surrounding mountains, glaciers and maybe the occasional wildlife, such as bighorn sheep or mountain goats. Also further down Highway 93, stop along the river and explore the shores, a lot of potential for long exposures there.
Travel Information
Any time of the year. Marked parking lot at the look out, for the riverbed just park roadside.
