Canada Vancouver Lookout
Vancouver Lookout is an observation deck in the northeast of Vancouver right beside Gastown, which is a quarter that you might want to visit anyway during your stay in Vancouver. The lookout offers a great view over the city and the tilted windows even allow you to look down.
Photography Tips
Because of the tilted windows, a tripod isn't helping so much if you want to get a vertical shot. I am not even sure if tripods are allowed. The best time to be at this place is definitely during sunset when the city lights are turned on and longer exposures are possible. That's also the time when you get that nice contrast between the streets, which turn orange because of the artificial lights, and the buildings, which are still bright enough.
If you use a wide-angle lens you can use a tripod like I did to get a better perspective.

Travel Information
Vancouver Lookout is just nearby Waterfront Station and relatively easy to find because the building has a round observation deck on top of it and therefore looks quite different than any other skyscraper.
