Chile Stargazing in Valle de la Luna
Valle de la Luna, located in the Atacama Desert of Chile, is ideal for stargazing due to its high altitude, minimal light pollution, and clear atmospheric conditions, providing an unobstructed view of the night sky.
Photography Tips
To capture the starry sky, you need a tripod. You also need a slightly longer exposure time and a very open aperture. Only set the ISO as high as necessary, but high enough so that the image is sufficiently exposed.
Travel Information
We drove here as far as we can inside Valle de la Luna from behind. On the small gravel road you can park anywhere during the night since there was nobody else around. Take warm clothes, it gets cold at night!
