China Diaoshuilou Waterfall
Diaoshuilou Waterfall, also known as Jingbo Lake Waterfall, is a scenic spot in the southwest of Ning'an City, Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. It is at the northern end of Jingbo Lake, only three kilometers from "Jingbo Villa". The width of the waterfall is about 70 meters. When the rainfall is heavy, the width is more than 300 meters. The drop is 20 meters. The pool below is 60 meters deep and is called "Heilongtan", meaning "Black Dragon Pool". During the rainy season or flood season, the sound of water is like thunder, the rapids roar and rush, the water and rocks hit each other, the white flow is surging, and the water mist evaporates into a colorful rainbow. It is the largest basalt waterfall in the world and turns to nice ice crystals in winter.
Photography Tips
In winter it is very cold and temperatures reach minus 30 degrees Celsius. Be prepared with heavy clothing.
Travel Information
Parking is available near the park. From there its a 15 minutes walk. The entrance fee was 20 RMB.
