Lake Namtso is considered one of the three holy lakes in Tibet and famous for its high altitude (4720 meters). Namtso is the biggest lake in Tibet and it is the highest altitude saltwater lake in the world.

Travel Information

There are no direct buses to the lake. The best way is to hire a taxi or a car (4WD) in Lhasa.
