The world-famous Terracotta Army (UNESCO World Heritage Site) in Xian is a must for every Xian visit. The tomb of Emperor Qin Shihuangdi, discovered by farm workers in 1974, is one of the most significant archaeological finds of the twentieth century. So far more than 3000 soldiers and horses and more than 40,000 weapons have been excavated and restored, and an estimated 5000 more figures are still hidden in the ground.
