Costa Rica Catarata Rio Celeste, Tenorio National Park
The highlight of Tenorio National Park, whose volcano you can't climb, by the way, is the Rio Celeste, an almost miraculously blue river that flows through part of the park. Along it is also the hiking trail that leads to the various highlights of the river. The first is the waterfall, the Catarata Celeste, which falls from an estimated depth of about 25 meters, forming a turquoise-blue waterfall basin with a loud roar.
Photography Tips
Be very early to get pictures without people. We started at 8 a.m. at the gate and were the first at the waterfall.
I only had 5 minutes - after that, there were crowds of people.
Use a wide-angle lens.
