El Cobre is a town west of Santiago de Cuba with a large copper mine. These days, the town is known for its Catholic Basilica, which attracts plenty of visitors (tourists and locals). Both the exterior and the interior of the church provide photo opportinities.

I took a taxi from Santiago de Cuba (20 CUCs in Jan. 2017), and the driver waited on me, while I roamed the place. There is a large parking lot behind the church.
