This is the only spot which acts as any sort of landmark for the vast Cienaga de Zapata National Park which is a huge swamp, filled with wildlife and with a very low population of people. The offices of the park authority are not here but in the town of Playa Larga for permits to access certain areas.

Photography Tips

Getting to this spot is easy. Accessing Cienaga de Zapata in general is not, it's a vast swamp with hardly any roads. I'll create more spots with specific info about places I managed to get to by car, boat etc.

Travel Information

The park entrance lies on the main road that turns off the Autopista at Jaguey Grande and goes all the way to Playa Larga on the coast. There are no gates or entrance fees to pay, it just marks the limit of the park.
