Cyprus Avakas Gorge
A small canyon formed by erosion of the rocks, with steeply sloping chalk cliffs and a creek streaming through
Photography Tips
It is very narrow and the rocks at the bottom are very slippery. Since there is naturally not much light in the gorge, a tripod could help, but (see above) it will not be easy to transport. Alternatively, exposure bracketing is recommended
Travel Information
There are no signs along the roads to the gorge, so you should check the route before and perhaps let you guide by a navigation. The last part of the way is on a dirt road which has a car park at the end. From there it is some hundred meters walk to the gorge.
