Cyprus Zapalo Bay - Tripiti
A ‚hidden‘ beach below the cliffs of Zapalo Bay, also known as „Tripiti“ to the locals. A quite large bay with a view south, suitable for shooting the Milky Way.
Photography Tips
The obvious subject to use as a foreground is the boat dock, but there are also other old boats along the beach, which can make for interesting and unique subjects. There are also nice compositions on top of the cliff and during the walk to the beach.
For those using a star tracker: on most parts of the beach (including where the boat dock is), the north star is visible just enough to allow for alignment.

Travel Information
This is where it gets hard. You have to park on the top of the cliff (it‘s free and there is enough space to not be too close to the edge) and walk down a relatively steep path (which is wide enough to be safe) for about 10 minutes to get to the spot. The hike up, especially at night, is not the easiest, though, since it‘s a 15-minute walk upwards. A headlamp or torch is better than just using the flash of a phone.
Due to the hard-to-reach location, there are no lifeguards on the beach and it gets deep very abruptly, so I would not suggest you take a swim there.
