Czech Republic Elevator inside of the Astronomical Clock Tower, Prague
The elevator inside the Astronomical Clock Tower in Prague has a special architecture, that is worth photographing. The elevator takes you to the roof, from where you have a beautiful view of the market square and the city.
Photography Tips
Use a tripod, so it is easier to point the camera straight and upwards. Better come a little earlier, it can get crowded quickly.
The tower is open every day from 9 am to 9 pm. Except on Mondays, when the tower is open from 11 am to 9 pm. Entrance is at the left side of the clock tower. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor and pay 250 krones entrance fee at the ticketing desk. Go to the left and walk a few meters inside another room where you will find the lift/the spot. Taking the lift up requires another 100 krones to be paid in cash on the mapspot. No need to pay for it, just unpack your tripod and look UP. Sit on the floor under the stairs next to the elevator with your tripod and start to compose and shoot UP!
