Denmark Frederiksborg Castle

One of the best castles in Europe and the most beautiful in Denmark is the Frederiksborg castle near Hillerod. About 45 minutes from Copenhagen is an ideal day trip.

Go there early in the morning when there are not so many people to get some decent shots.

This truly incredible castle is located just 40 minutes away north of Copenhagen and is very easily accessible by car or by train from the city's main station (Kobenhavn H). The line you must use is line A to Hillerød, from there are only 15 minutes walk to the castle alternatively, you can use bus 301 with direction to Ullerød stop (Frederiksberg Slot). The bus ticket is included in the price of the train ticket which costs 180 kroner (24 euros) with a return per person.
