Denmark Søbygård bridge, Aerø
Søbygård is Ærø's last ducal manor house. Here you will find experiences for all ages and lots of insight into the history of Ærø. There is a museum that showcases the life on the island in previous decades. They also offer many kids' activities which is great if you visit with your family.
Photography Tips
You can get this angle of Søbygård during the site's opening hours since it's on the property. I tried coming as early as possible to get softer light and longer shadows on the bridge. It might be good to use a polarization filter to preserve the color in your pictures when shooting during the day.
Travel Information
You can park your car for free at the marked parking location. There is also a second, much larger parking lot for more vehicles since the museum is frequently visited during opening hours. Driving around Aerø is relatively easy and very relaxing. There is not a lot of traffic, excellent road conditions, and the island is pretty tiny, allowing you to travel from one side to the other in around 30 minutes. You can only come here by ferry.
