Ecuador Hotel 'La Basílica Quito'

Located in the historic center of Quito, the hotel "La Basilica" offers an observation deck with an excellent view of the entire historic center of Quito. From this hotel, all the iconic monuments of the city can be visited on foot and in a few minutes.

The platform is easy to access and is 20 square meters in size, which provides sufficient space for its use. Different types of photographs can be taken from this platform depending on the equipment you have. In my case I took a tripod and three lenses: a 24-70mm f2.8 to take a couple of panoramic shots of the city, a 70-200mm f2.8 to get some details of the roofs and colonial domes and a 100-400mm to get as much detail as possible of the "Virgen del Panecillo" one of the most significant monuments of the city.

The most recommended way to get to Quito is by plane. The flights arrive at the international airport of Quito (UIO), from there, it is recommended to hire a direct transfer to the hotel or the city, the cost of the same is approx. $40.
