Estonia Kakerdaja Bog hiking trail
This bog is one of the largest bogs in Kõrvemaa: about 1,000 hectares. ake Kakerdaja lies in the middle of the bog. 4 kilometres of the nature trail is covered with a boardwalk. In spring and autumn, thousands of waterfowl stop by the bog's floodplain. Lake Kakerdaja is located in the middle of the bog. The nature trail runs through the Kakerdaja bog, past the Noku campfire site, and makes a loop around the small and large Kalajärv lakes, returning to the Noku campfire site.
Photography Tips
You can take beautiful photos of the bog at any time, but it is especially beautiful there during the golden hour in autumn. If you want to reach the lake, it will take about half an hour, because before that there are also wonderful spots where you will definitely want to take photos. It can be very dark there after sunset, so be sure to bring a flashlight to make the way back more comfortable.
