When going to the Faroe Islands plan the trip to Mykines for one of the first days to have the ability to postpone it. Due to the always changing weather it may happen, the ferry (or the helicopter is cancelled)
Be furthermore aware you won't be the only one who wants to see puffins. So the boat will be full, offloading approximately 99 more tourists on the way to the puffins and to the lighthouse.
The best call is to stay overnight. The puffins return to their burrow around 8 and you are on your own.
