Faroe Islands Akraberg Lighthouse, Suðuroy
The Lighthouse on the southernmost part of Suðuroy Island is one of the most secluded points on the islands. Here you can feel what solitude means.
Photography Tips
The Lighthouse is photographically interesting in many ways. A ground perspective like the one chosen here, combined with the fence coming from the right, gives it a more vivid visual language.
Travel Information
The island is only accessible by ferry via Tórshavn. In high swell and stormy weather, this is suspended. The time is about 2 hours crossing. On the island itself, it is recommended to travel by rental car. With plenty of time, the island can also be hiked completely.
