Faroe Islands Gasadalur
This village is very famous on the Faroe Islands and, due to its small distance to the airport pretty often the first spot you visit after your arrival. They built a tunnel to make it to this village a few years ago. Before that, you had to hike across a mountain or take a ship to get here! Just a few people live in Gásadalur.
Photography Tips
I took this panorama with my drone to capture the entire scenery. You can see a small waterfall rushing down in the Atlantic Ocean and the village of Gásadalur itself. Be aware of a lot of seagulls flying around when starting your drone.
Travel Information
When I visited, I parked along the road as marked on the map. They might have built a parking lot in the meantime. Make sure not to block the road when stopping your car. It's pretty close to the airport. Therefore might be an excellent first or last spot of your trip!
