This is the most western point of the Faroe Islands. The island in the distance is Vagar. The Island Mykines is pronounced Mitchiness.

Good sturdy boots are required and waterproofs. Think B&W due to the exposed area and long exposure shots into the Ocean.

Travel Information

The lighthouse is only accessible by foot and the island either by ferry from Vagar or helicopter. There is one small cafe in the village of Mykines.
