Finland Levi Mountain
Atop Levi Mountain are thousands of snow-covered trees like this that offer great foreground elements for the Northern Lights. The town of Levi Levi is a resort in Finnish Lapland. It’s known for its winter ski slopes and views of the Northern Lights. Its Samiland Exhibition explores the culture of the indigenous Sami people through photos, objects and recreated buildings. Nearby Kittilä town has a 19th-century wooden church. Northwest is Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, with its Arctic fells and remains of the Linkupalo Volcano.
Photography Tips
Use a wide lens on a tripod to capture as much of the lights as you can, not every night will be clear enough to see the lights but if you patent and wait for a clear night you won't be disappointed with the results.
