These are from the parking lot of Pallas hotel (500 m from sea level). You can hike up to the Pallas mountain (804 m) for even better views. The temperature when taking these were -32° C but only -18°C when we descended from there to the lakes. The other hills were like islands in the mist in the valleys.

Photography Tips

These were taken at 12 o'clock. That's as high the sun goes during the winter months. It comes to the horizon for an hour and then goes away again.
