This lake above the village of Kilpisjärvi can be reached on foot along a beautiful trail past a waterfall. The evening atmosphere here is fantastic. But the aurora borealis is even more beautiful up here - if the sky is clear.

Travel Information

You can park your car at the K-Market at the bottom of the E8 and hike to the lake on the trail in about 20-30 minutes. But beware: you will probably need plenty of time to take photos on the way (views, waterfall, creek, etc.).
