This lake above the village of Kilpisjärvi can be reached on foot along a beautiful trail past a waterfall. The evening atmosphere here is fantastic. But the aurora borealis is even more beautiful up here - if the sky is clear.

Photography Tips

Take a tripod with you if you want to stay longer because of the aurora borealis, ... you already have it with you and don't have to go down to the village again...
