Finland Snowmobile Immeljärvi, Levi

Riding a snowmobile is like riding a bike for us in Germany. Many people use it as a means of winter transportation.

It's definitely worth the trip, as it takes you to regions of Levi that you can only really access by snowmobile.

On the drive you stop for some photos while sunrise. It's a good opportunity to do some nice pictures of the slopes with good light in the background.

So-called “panic shots” certainly require a lot of practice. You can practise perfectly here by setting your shutter to 1/20 - 1/30, riding in parallel with a second snowmobile as a passenger and trying to maintain the same speed level as the object you are photographing.

This works really well on the open lake beds.

Take all your camera gear with you. There will be several stops for pictures.

There are different providers, we did it with Oy Kinos Safaris, where you can park directly before there door. Bring a valid driver license with you!
