Another good spot for taking pics of blossoming lavender is on the D8 from Valensole direction NE. This spot has a building and a tree in the background and is particularly nice if you arrive before sunset.

Photography Tips

Ideally use a triop as the lavender field is very deep here and you might need more that one shot to cover the depth, avoiding very narrow apertures which will introduce artifacts and diffraction blur.

Travel Information

Easy parking on the roadside. You may even want to drive a bit down on the dirt track towards the building.
