This is really a morning or late morning shot. The picture was taken in May at 18:30 hrs on an extremely windy day, which posed significant problems. For that bring a tripod and a truly neutral ND filter, however then the flowers will be blurry. You will need a fairly long telephoto lens and a tripod. Your standard zoom (24-105mm) will not do.

Follow the relatively long walkway to the wildlife observation park to the end of the Cosson river. There is a little bridge, which you can cross to return to Chambord. It is interesting that there are even with good weather almost no people here, because most tourists consider it too far to walk.
