Beautiful mountain lake. Probably not the most famous lake in the Mercantour regional park, but this one is accessible to everyone, and the green/emerald colour of its clear and bright waters is really fantastic.

Photography Tips

Use a polarizer and possibly a ND filter for a long time exposure (and if so, bring a tripod).

Travel Information

Car park available at "Vacherie de Salèse". Then the easiest is to download the GPX track (e.g. from the Visorando site) and follow this track: 12 km return, +/- 600m difference in altitude.
