France Plan de l´Aiguille

Hiking at Grand Balcon Nord is great! There are many routes. The most interesting one leads either to the nearby Lac Bleu or further to the Mer de Glace.

When the light bends in the afternoon, the small layers are great between the mountains and creates beautiful perspectives.

Parking is possible at "Parking du Grepon". From there you can take the cable car up to the station "Plan de l'Aiguille" and walk comfortably along the Grand Balcon Nord. Alternatively, you can start the hike from the bottom like we did. Well-guided trails lead about 3 1/2 - 4 hours up to the station and from there on to the hiking trails.
