Museum director is Sylvain Amic. In 2018, the house had 135,904 visitors. The building with 60 rooms was built in 1888 and last renovated in 1994.
Paintings from the 15th to the 21st century as well as sculptures (Pierre Puget, Théodore Géricault, David d'Angers, Antoine Bourdelle, Raymond Duchamp-Villon, Alexandre Archipenko, Jacques Lipchitz etc.) and 8000 drawings are on display.
