France Dune du Pilat

Dune du Pilat is located along the Atlantic coast. It is the tallest sand dune in France and even in Europe, which tops at 115m height.
It feels like you're in the desert when you start climbing it, but from there you have a wide view over Le Bassin d'Archachon and the ocean.

Photography Tips

You should definitely opt for an early morning or late afternoon hike, to get a raking light over the sand that will add beautiful contrast on the ground.
