The amazing City of the Popes, occupied by seven popes in the 14th century, is a remarkable place to visit. This blue hour shot, I think, gives the best representation of the beautiful city on the water.
Photography Tips
If shooting the blue hour shot bring along a tripod and shoot with a small aperture and cable release. There is a bright lamp facing the camera on the far left of bridge which should be partially obscured and give a pleasing starburst and not overwhelm the sensor.
Travel Information
Plenty of nearby parking; walk along the riverfront promenade to obtain your composition.

Thank you Kacie. I shot this image in both morning and evening and both had the same illumination but that was some years ago. Perhaps the lights are being lessened to save energy.

Inspired by your photo I was there tonight trying to make my own version. Sadly I forgot my mirrorless so only had my iPhone to shoot with! :(. But I did notice the Popes Palace was only dimly illuminated in comparison t the road below it. Is there a secret to when all the buildings are illuminated? Do you know? Thanks!
