France L'Abbaye de Jumièges

The Abbaye de Jumièges, founded in the 7th century by the holy Philibert; was destroyed the first time by Vikings and rebuilt in the 10th century and thereafter became one of the biggest monasterys of France. During the French Revolution the last monks left the abbey. The remaining rests of the buildings are accessible today and the abbey is said to be among the most magnificent and beautiful ruins of France what I definitively agree with.
