France Châteaux Beynac et Castelnaud
Dordogne is a department in southwestern France and is called after the Dordogne river that runs through it. It roughly corresponds with the ancient county of Périgord. The Périgord is a natural region and former province of France. It's divided into 4 areas: the Périgord Noir, the Périgord Blanc, the Périgord Vert and the Périgord Pourpre. The Périgord is well known for its cuisine, especially its duck and goose products and its truffles. Périgord wines include the Bergerac and Monbazillac wines.
There are many castles in Dordogne (over 1500): Château des Milandes, Château Beynac, Château Castelnaud,... only to mention a few.
