White Lake (in french : "lac Blanc") is one of the best viewpoints on the Mont-Blanc Mountain.

Photography Tips

The spot is better in summer, when there is no snow anymore to reach the lake and the refuge. Sunrise and sunset are equally good for shooting.

Travel Information

You can reach Chamonix by train or by car (and park your car near "La Flegere" cable car). You should sleep in the "Lac Blanc" refuge, as it is forbidden to bivouac near the lake.
