France Gourgue d'Asque, french Pyrenees
This spot is in a very special forest in the french Pyrenees. It is the very narrow valley of the Arros river, surrounded by bending trees and mossy rocks.
Photography Tips
This valley is visited by many hikers during the day, but most of the time you do not have to wait for a a long time to feel alone. It is better to come in spring or early summer. In autumn you will find almost no water in the river.
Travel Information
Come by car and park at the end of the road coming from the small village of Asque. The "gourgue d'asque" valley is indicated. Be prepared to pay a few euros for the parking ("pay and display"). You will then have to walk about an hour to reach the most beautifull part of the river.
