France Fort Vauban, Fort Mahon, Fort d'Ambleteuse
Fort Mahon or Fort Vauban is a sea fort situated at the estuary of the river Slack in Ambleteuse. It was built at the end of the 17th century by the military architect Vauban on orders of Louis XIV to defend the port in the estuary.
Photography Tips
Allthough the lighting conditions weren't as I hoped (unfortunately it was an overcast, grey day so there wasn't a sunset bonus with golden light catching the fort...), I tried to shoot an image of the western side of the fort at low tide with a wide angle lens to emphasize foreground interest and used a long exposure to get some movement in the sky.
