Germany Kranhäuser, Cologne
The Kranhäuser (Engl. "crane houses") in the Rheinauhafen of Cologne are 3 pretty modern buildings, which were built in 2011 and look like an upside-down "L". One popular spot to shoot them is at the other side of the Rhine from "Poller Wiesen".
Photography Tips
High water can be a great element to differentiate your results from others and you get better reflections of these buildings, because the water isn't moving. But that's just one of many things you can try at this spot. Another way to get great shots is to search for symmetry and leading lines of the Kranhäuser while positioning your camera.
Travel Information
You can leave your car beyond Serverinsbridge and walk about 10 minutes over the bridge to the other side of the Rhine. There is also a train station nearby.
