Germany Tister Bauernmoor
The Tister Bauernmoor is a renaturated moor, that can be visited on a about 2 km long footpath or on certain days by using a former peat railway. At the end of the footpath you'll find two wooden observation towers, from which you can watch bird life, especially cranes, geese, ducks and if you are lucky ospreys.
Photography Tips
if you want to watch birdlife you should take a telephoto lens and a tripod with you. The best time to watch the cranes is in autumn about one hour before sunset, when they all come back. But nowadays some hundred cranes stay here for the whole year.
Travel Information
at the startpoint of the footpath is a large parking area, but especially in autumn, when there a more than thousand cranes to be watched, a lot of people come to this spot and there might be no free lot.
