Heiligendamm is the oldest seaside resort in continental Europe, founded in 1793. The architecture of the white buildings lining the beach promenade gave Heiligendamm the name "White Town by the Sea" (Weiße Stadt am Meer)

Travel Information

Parking is no problem; you can take the narrow gauge railway "Molli", too. Heiligendamm is a station between Bad Doberan and Kühlungsborn West.
