Germany Phoenixsee

Phoenixsee („Lake Phoenix“) is a man-made lake in Dortmund. It was made on the area of an oldfactory. Around the lake a lot of new, quite exclusive houses were build but if you walk 50 meters more, you'll find the old houses of the steel-factory workers and you can work with the contrast of the gentrified streets in the middle of a historical workers’ quarter.

There's a lot: Enjoy the water reflections of the modern houses by day or night. Take street-style pictures on the promenade on the western side of the lake. Or take a walk around and find old worker’s houses in a typical 1900 architecture. And don’t forget to have sushi in the suhibar on the promenade.
