Is the point marked on the lake itself where you took the picture from? Or is it what you took the picture of?

This is where I took the picture from. The title means „romantic benches at lake“ and the location can be found on Google maps.

Thank you so much for your quick reply Astrid! It is really a wonderful picture. I'm going to go out over the week and try to get a good shot of the location as well! Would be wonderful if you could give tips as to the shutter speed and apertures you used here :) Thanks a lot again.

Ameen, the center of the milky way is not visible until February. A milky way arch as pictured is only possible between February and June. Shutter speed depends on your focal length and maximum aperture of your lens. At 14mm f/2.8 your exposure should be about 20 seconds at ISO 6400. The milky way rises and sets at different times of the night, depending on the date and the season.

Oh thats wonderful! Thanks for much for the information. I'll have to wait till Feb I guess then! I'm shooting with a Sigma 18-35 F1.8 on a Canon 70d (Crop sensor). I hope that I'm able to catch all of this wonderfulness without too much noise! Vielen Dank nochmal für Ihre Hilfe!
