Germany Reichstag dome, Berlin
The Reichstag dome in Berlin is another of the Norman Foster masterpieces, yes, the same architect who did London’s Gherkin and Millennium Bridge, Moscow’s Crystal Island and so many other great photographic icons. It's Germany’s parliament building and it is open for tours. The array of mirrors directs natural light into the parliament chamber at the base of the dome.
Photography Tips
I took these pics back in the dark ages of my shooting J-peg-only so they’re not the best. They’re here to give viewers an indication of what lies in store if you go. The tour will give you so many opportunities for amazing photographs. If you like modern architecture and you’re going to be in Berlin with a medium to ultra-wide lens, this is a must.
Travel Information
Getting there is easy, it has its metro station but it’s also an easy walk from the Brandenburg Gate. The tour entrance is off to the left as you face the building. Tours are free but timed entrance and you need to book well in advance.
