Germany Church 'Sankt Peter' (Alter Peter), Munich
If you are visiting Munich you should go on the top of the tower of the church "Sankt Peter" (called "Alter Peter" in Munich). From this platform you will have a wonderful view over Munich with the "Frauenkirche". The famous "Marienplatz" will be right beneath you.
If there is clear weather you will be able to see the Alps – a really impressive view!!
You will have to pay a low price (about 3 EUR) to get up on the platform and unfortunately there is no lift (about 300 steps). But the view will worth it! :-)

Photography Tips
Take a wide angle lens with you for the best panorama view. A telephoto lens will be useful if you want to display some specific buildings.
Unfortunately there is not enough space to place your tripod.
Try to get there during clear weather for the best view to the Alps or/and during sunset. Photographing the sunset is only possible during winter time because the tower closes at about 6.30 pm.

Travel Information
The church is right in the center of Munich. So you can take every S-Bahn or the U3, 4, 5 and 6 to "Marienplatz". You can walk to the tower within 5 minutes.
I would highly recommend to get there by the public transport (or by bike or foot) because you will hardy get a free parking space in the center of Munich.
