Germany High trail next to Steigerts

I would say the place has the lowest light pollution of the whole area and is therefore perfect to capture the night sky. There are a few benches along a forest and field path. The trail leads from Steigerts to the Kuralpe through a beautiful mountain landscape with small woodlands and fields.

The most beautiful starry sky in the area with a beautiful landscape in the foreground. Unfortunately my equipment is not the best for this, but in my case (in late summer) even the Milky Way was visible to the south/southeast, unfortunately not so good that I could have captured it. With a bright zoom lens you can probably also take beautiful pictures of Jugenheim and the Rhine plain, which is visible between two mountains.

From Steigerts you can drive directly to the spot by car and park somewhere along the road. It is the end of the road or the legally passable part, so no cars should pass by, but some locals use the road as an illegal shortcut by car, which unfortunately can be disturbing when taking pictures.
