Germany Helgoland Düne
At the beach of Helgoland Düne you can watch and photograph not only seals and grey seals, but various bird species such as oystercatchers, sanderlings, ruddy turnstones and many more.
Photography Tips
You need a good telelens (minimum 200 mm, better 400 mm) and weatherproof clothing. A tripod is recommended, too. Bring something to sit on in the wet sand. Take the first ferry in the morning and avoid the hours between noon and 4 p.m.
Travel Information
You have to take the small ferry from the main island, which takes only about 8 minutes. From the harbor, it's a five minutes walk to the beach.
