Germany Lost place N Cologne
This is probably Cologne's most "famous" place for ghost hunters etc. The villa (once belonging to the Cologne banker dynasty Oppenheim) is abandoned since about the 1960ties. Up to today, plans to turn it into a luxury resort have all failed for different reasons. A young polish victim is said to have been killed here in WW2, falsely accused of having abused the landlord's daughter. Later on, a judge living here committed suicide as did another man in the early 2000s. Urbexers that intruded the place have reported from weird feelings, sounds, strange lights, smells of decaying flesh etc. Note that I do not believe in these things. A gravestone of a previous owner seems to be transported by some ghosts (or more probably guys) around the house and the premises and is reported to appear in different places over the years.
Photography Tips
Please observe the non intrusion signs!
Pics from the outside are already quite nice. With some postprocessing, pics of this place reveal a really nice dark and depressing appearance of a lost place with some history ...

Travel Information
It is just on the road S of the village of Fuehlingen (N of Cologne), so if you are in this area make sure you take your own lost place pic there. I believe it is more prone to be taken down than to be rebuild.
