Germany Colorful office building, Hamburg

A beautiful office building in Hamburg, which is built in a very round and wavy way. The colorful front makes this a great place for architecture photography.

Inside this building there are 3 departments of the government of the city of Hamburg (may change with each election): the "Behörde für Stadtentwicklung und Wohnen (BSW)", the "Behörde für Umwelt und Energie (BUE)" and the "Landesbetrieb für Geoinformation und Vermessung (LGV)".

Interesting facts to know about this building:
This building is built according to a very strict ecologic standard and is one of just a handful of buildings in Europe which is certified by an ecological standard. It does not have an active heating or cooling system and is heated/cooled solely by geothermal means. The chimney on top of the tower does not belong to the building itself but to a cogeneration plant below the place in front of the building.
