Germany Hüvener Wind-Wasser Mühle
Virtually the last known dual-operated Wind- and watermills still functionally capable of using either power source. The site has many opportunities for various techniques to capture the serene essence of the mill in a natural setting. It is a great Rest Stop featuring a restaurant, beer garden, and walking trails. It is a good place for a break on a journey through the small villages in the Northern German flatlands and moors. Also nearby is the Schloß Clemenswerth in Sögel and a Primitive Monolithic Gravesite driving tour.
Photography Tips
The Mühle be photographed easily during either sunrise or sundown to capture glowing effects from each angle. There are ponds and running streams that can add depth, reflection, and interest to photographs. The Mill itself has many small details to capture outside and inside the structure, and offers many view changes throughout the seasons.
