Germany Haus Havixbeck
Haus Havixbeck is one of the many moated castles typical of the Münsterland region. It is located in the municipality of Havixbeck in the district of Coesfeld and is a listed building. Although the complex is sometimes also called Wasserburg Haus Havixbeck, it is actually a castle and not a fortress.
The house, built from 1562 onwards, emerged from a medieval Schulzengut and came into the possession of the von Twickel family by marriage at the beginning of the 17th century. The buildings are inhabited and managed by them and are therefore not accessible to the public.
